Oil Painting on Canvasboard titled, "U.N. Building Seen from Welfare Island New York", that depicts the scene from this almost 2 mile long island in the East River. Johann Berthelsen has always had a special interest in New York and he loved Welfare Island. It was a special placed that was once owned by Captain Manning's daughter before it was deed to Robert Blackwell. Today it is owned by New York City and is home to Franklin Delano Roosevelt Park. The painting is HAND SIGNED in the lower right corner and has remained in excellent condition since it was created. The artwork, is guaranteed authentic, and comes with a Gallery Letter of Authenticity. This painting measures a versatile 6" x 8", and, is in an elaborate, custom wood frame that is very ornate in nature. The framed dimensions are approx. 16" x 20".
